With regards to the Hurricane Rita approaching the Texas coasline, we would like to inform you that our monitoring station is located in a best-in-class Datacenter in Houston, Texas and all possible measures have been taken from our end. According to the Datacenter management, all their systems are secured, robust, and redundant and no operational interruptions related to Hurricane Rita are anticipated.
However, we are taking double precautions to protect your web-investment. We will be watching the storm status and the operation of the Datacenter in Houston 24/7, and in case of power outage or other unexpected disruption of service, we will immediately switch all monitored targets to another monitoring location, part of our global network.

Please be advised that on November 25, 2004 at 5:00 am EST we will migrate our San Francisco monitoring server to a new data center. We do not expect any downtime but the IP address of this monitoring location will be changed from 69.50.184.26 to 69.59.185.156

We have just performed an upgrade of the WebSitePulse.com WSDL API. The new version allows you to receive uptime statistics for periods larger than a month and fixes some minor issues with the WSDL definition file.
Although the upgraded version is fully backward compatible we recommend you to download the updated definition file from the link below:

| February 27th, 2004 | New Feature - Reset Monitoring Statistics | |
Based on our Customers? requests we have added the option ?Reset Stats? which will reset the data for the monitored web site, web server or web transaction. Especially useful to reset your monitoring results once you have completed the set up of a particular target and want to remove any errors from the statistics which were as a result of miss-configuration or other error not related to the operation of the monitored target. Another reason could be if you change hosting providers and would like to reset the results. We recommend using this feature carefully, as there is no ?undo? for this request.

The very useful and popular Test Tools in the Member section have been upgraded. Now you can select the monitoring location from which the selected test to be performed. Use these tools to help you determine a problem and troubleshoot it much easier and quicker. Especially useful if you perform the regular monitoring from few monitoring locations and receive an error notification. Then you can run different tests from additional locations to determine if it is a local or global problem with your web site, server or provider.

The Instant Test feature has been added to help you determine faster where the problem is in case you have a failed server, web site or transaction. In the Current Status section of the Details for each target there is a button "Instant Test" for each monitoring location you have in your account. It will run an instant test from the selected location and present the results in your browser. The Instant Test is performed outside your scheduled tests and will not change them in any way. |

The new addition to the "False Alert Prevention System" allows you to configure the way an error is reported. With the "Normal" setting if a failure is detected it will be confirmed with at least one additional monitoring location. The "Strong" level will report the error if at least 50% of the locations in your account are reporting that error. With the "Strict" option an error is reported only if all monitoring locations in your account report that error. Available from the Monitoring Locations section in your Control Panel. |
